When Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 236 spoilers surfaced, fans were taken aback by what they saw.

In the last episode, Gojo unleashed his ultimate HOLLOW, destroying Mahoraga and gravely wounding Sukuna.

Gojo had not received much damage and had recovered after four straight Black Flashes, but Sukuna's recovery was weaker and he was in a really bad situation.

It was virtually certain to the community that Chapter 236 would announce Gojo's win.

However, when Suguru Geto greeted Gojo at the beginning of the chapter, everyone thought it was a flashback. However, as the chapter progressed, their discussion progressed, and it became evident what it was. 

This was Gojo's last moment before being vanquished, and Haibara, Suguru Geto, and Kento Nanami arrived to see him.

Next, the chapter depicted Gojo bleeding profusely from his lips while he lay on the ground.

Once Sukuna realized how Mahoraga had adjusted to Gojo's infinite, he went on to narrate how he had slain Gojo.

In the meanwhile, there are some unclear passages in the chapter, which has raised some expectations for his return.

Firstly, Gojo should still be able to utilize the reverse cursed technique because his head was not severed.

The second was when he mentioned his father and said that Shoko would now take care of the unfinished business.

Third, he said goodbye to his deceased buddy. This is a crucial moment in his resuscitation since, in death, one would say goodbye to those who are still living.

Saying goodbye to his pals who have already passed away might be a hint that he will return from the grave. Since he has already taken this action against Toji, it is also not entirely implausible.

The last aspect is that Kashimo has already joined the fight, and both Yuta and Shoko are capable of healing others by employing the reverse cursed technique.

Thus, Yuta or Shoko might be able to cure him and get him back into the fight while he diverts Sukuna.
